Gabriel Mas Tafur

Coffees from Amazonas are a stalwart on our menu -- they are balanced and rich and you could not ask for a better environment for growing coffee. Much of the coffee production in the region is nestled inside national reserves that protect wildlife and just about everything that comes out of the region is certified organic.  

This is the case with Gabriel Mas Tafur's farm, Finca San Gabriel. When Gabriel purchased the farm in 2006, he intended to grow vegetables and was surprised to find that there were coffee trees already planted in the middle of the forest. He rolled with it and he's now dedicated roughly 4 hectares of his 8 hectare farm to cultivating coffee. We're sure glad. 

This coffee has the sweetness and depth that we expect from the region and a delightful apple-like finish.
